Amherst Little League recently named Antigonish resident Sam Gero as a member of its Wall of Fame.

Gero started working as an umpire in 1955 in Amherst. Since moving to Antigonish he returned every labour day to umpire the David Maltby Invitational Ball Tournament.  The ceremony takes place on Sunday afternoon in Amherst
