Cape Breton-Canso MP Mike Kelloway is welcoming an agreement between the federal and Nova Scotia governments on greening the grid.
The announcement was made this past week during a visit to Ottawa by Premier Tim Houston and Natural Resources and Renewables Minister Tory Rushton.
The federal government has announced almost $12 million for Nova Scotia to improve monitoring and automating its electric grid.
Kelloway says there’s also work on amending the Atlantic Accord, to allow projects like offshore wind and green hydrogen to move forward faster by reducing red tape.
