On Wednesday, the Municipality of the District of Guysborough Ceremony hosted a ceremony  to swear in its new council.  

 Members welcomed councillor Susan Cashin for District 6, while the rest of council returned through acclamation.

Council voted for Paul Long to serve as warden and Janet Peitzsche as deputy warden.
