Hector Arena receives a Larger Grant from the Town of Pictou

The town of Pictou is boosting its grant to the Hector Arena. Last night, council approved addingthree thousand dollars to its annual grant to the rink.  Mayor Jim Ryan says the additional funds will to help the arena weather the financial storm caused by the COVID-19 pandemic

Town council, just like Pictou County council, is writing a letter to the Department of Culture, Communities and Heritage asking for more financial aid to rinks and recreational services in rural areas and small towns.
