The St. FX Athletes of the Week come from Hockey and Basketball.

The Female Athlete of the Week is X-Women Hockey forward Anna MacCara. The fifth year Business student from Yellowknife played two strong games in a pair of victories by the X-Women, keeping them atop the AUS conference. She was second star in the 2-0 St. FX victory over St. Thomas on Friday. In their 8-3 win over Mount Allison on Saturday, MacCara had four points on the night with one goal and three assists. She was player of the game and was the first star in the contest.

The St. FX Male Athlete of the Week is X-Men Basketball Forward Jeff Ngandu. The first year Business student in his third year of eligbility from Lubumbashi, Congo was player of the game in the X-Men’s 93-59 win over Acadia Saturday; scoring 11 points, collected 10 rebounds, and had one assist, one steal and a block.
