Although Pictou town councilor Melinda MacKenzie has moved out of town, she will be able to serve out her term.

Mayor Jim Ryan noted that council does have the authority to allow a councilor who has moved to serve up to six months – a motion was passed to allow MacKenzie to continue on council until next month’s municipal elections.
