The Foyer Pere Fiset Guest Home in Cheticamp is getting an upgrade.
Inverness MLA Allan MacMaster says assurances that work would proceed came from Health
Inverness MLA Allan MacMaster
and Wellness Minister Zach Churchill during questions in the legislature late last week on his department’s budget.
MacMaster says the upgrade also means that people who were living in the older section will no longer have to share bathrooms with three others.
MacMaster says once the budget is passed, it should clear the path for the board of the guest home to put out a request for proposals or a tender for the work.
