With Pictou County council holding their last regular meeting before the municipal election, several councilors were recognized for their long terms of service.

Warden Robert Parker and councilors Deborah Wadden & Andy Thompson were given 15-year certificates, while councilors Randy Palmer, Chester Dewar and David Parker were given certificates for 20+ years on council. David Parker, along with councilor Don Butler, are not offering for another term.
