4-H Nova Scotia presented the 2022 Friends of the 4-H award to four members of the 4-H
Ruby MacKenzie
community, including one from the Pictou area.
Ruby Mackenzie started as a parent in the Scotsburn 4-H club when her daughter joined the program. She has been a leader for 15 years, now with her grandchildren in the program. A press release from 4-H NS described MacKenzie as a strong advocate for the members and representatives of 4-H, noting when volunteers are needed, MacKenzie is the first to step up and take on any job.
MacKenzie just finished her second term on the Board of Directors where she served as an advisor to the Members’ Voice Committee and Eastern Region director.
