The St. FX Athletes of the Week come from the sport of Soccer.
The Female Athlete of the Week is X-Women Soccer forward Amanda Smith. The second year education student from Ottawa in her fifth year of eligibility scored the first two goals of the game in a 3-0 shutout over Memorial on Sunday. That win improves the X-Women’s record to 10-and-0.

The Male Athlete of the Week is X-Men midfielder Kyle Cordeiro. The fourth year business student from Oakville, Ontario was player of the game and scored the team’s final goal in their 3-1 win over Memorial.

In Football, the Offensive Athlete of the Week is X-Men quarterback Silas Fagnan. The 5th year Human Kinetics student in his 3rd year of elibility from Bonnyville, Alberta was 18-for-30 for 301 passing yards in the X-Men’s 52-9 win over Mount Allison; including four touchdown passes.

The Defensive Athlete of the Week is lineman Alex Fedchun. The fifth year Arts Student from Calgary had 4.5 tackles including four solo tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery and a break-up in the X-Men victory over the Mounties.
The Special Teams Athlete of the Week is X-Men kicker/punter Ben Hadley. The fourth year business student from Halifax scored 16 points in their win over Mount A, with two field goals, 6 extra points and four rouges.
