Atlantic University Sport announced the 2023 women’s rugby major award winners and all-stars, selected by the conference’s four head coaches following the regular season.
STFX second row/lock Akwaima Akpan earned the AUS rookie of the year award while this year’s recipient of the AUS student-athlete community service award is Katherine Culligan, a third-year centre with the STFX X-Women.
STFX players selected to the 2023 AUS women’s rugby all-star team include Akpan, Emma MacDougall, Sophie Beck, Skye Koyote, and Katie Murphy.
