St. FX University has named its new President and Vice-Chancellor. Dr. Andrew Hakin comes to
St. FX from the University of Lethbridge where he has served as Provost and Vice President (Academic) since 2007. He joined the university in 1989 as a faculty member. Hakin held a number of senior roles at Lethbridge, including President of the school’s faculty association, the Chair of the university’s Chemistry and Biochemistry department and Associate Vice-President (Academic).
Hakin assumes his role at St. FX on July first. Dr. Kevin Wamsley will continue serving as Interim President until Hakin’s arrival. At that time, Wamsley will resume his position as Academic Vice-President and Provost at St. FX.
