The Ivor MacDonald Memorial Arena in Thorburn is getting a major grant from the Municipality
of Pictou County.
At last night’s monthly meeting, council approved $150,000 from operating reserves to help fund the replacement of the arena’s ice plant, which has been operating nearly five decades and has reached the end of its lifespan.
