UARB Invokes Interrupter Clause to Raise Diesel Price by almost Six Cents a Litre

Jan 15, 2025 | Regional News

If you drive a diesel powered vehicle, you will be paying more at the pump today.

The Utility and Review Board invoked the Interrupter Clause overnight to raise the price of diesel by 5.9 cents a litre. The minimum price for a litre of diesel is now $1.94.1 in the eastern mainland and $1.94.9 on Cape Breton.

The UARB says it invoked the Interrupter Clause because of significant shifts in the market price of diesel oil.

The price of gasoline is unchanged.
