The Westville Fire Department is marking an important milestone, it’s 150th anniversary.

Central Nova MP Sean Fraser says there was a celebration marking the 150th at the fire department just over a week ago.

Fraser says department’s role in the community is growing.

Fraser says we are fortunate to have volunteer fire departments to help keep us safe should an emergency arise, but to see Westville’s fire brigade pass this milestone is extraordinary.
