A pair of STFX football players were named USPORTS players of the week.

Silas Fagnan is the USPORTS offensive football player of the week. The X-Men quarterback gave a commendable showing in StFX’s 42-9 victory over the Axemen on Saturday at the STFX Stadium. The X-Men quarterback completed 17 of 23 attempts for 350 yards, with his longest at 54 yards, in addition to three touchdowns. He also made 4 rush attempts for 22 yards, including his longest rush at 11 yards. He also leads the AUS in pass completions and attempts, yards
and pass efficiency.
John Connors is the USPORTS defensive player of the week. The STFX linebacker was a defensive standout in Saturday’s win over the Axemen. Connors recorded a game-high of eight tackles (six solo and four assisted) along with two tackles for loss and a sack. Connors tops the AUS leader board for tackles, averaging seven tackles per game.
